Past New Years shows have been exciting if one is to judge by the setlist for New Years 12-31-91 at the Hyatt in Minneapolis.  Midway through the show, to count off midnight, the band played a 9 minute medley of songs all featuring "midnight" in some way.  Roughly that medley consisted of:

 

Midnight Blue / Midnight Rambler / After Midnight / Midnight Hour / Livin' After Midnight / Walking After Midnight / Midnight Train To Georgia / Midnight Rider / Midnight Special/ Midnight Rendevous / Sister Midnight / Midnight At the Oasis / Midnight Confession/Auld Lang Syne

 

the rest of the set featured All the Kings Friends mixed with a bit of 'whoa!' at the end, as well as the Rufus song 'tell me something good'.  Other songs performed that night included the new ones, 'black gold', 'runaway train', 'the break', 'april fools', as well as 'sometime to return', veil of tears', 'cartoon', 'spinnin', 'nice guys', 'gullible's travels', 'sexual healing', and 'something out of nothing' and ending with a 'made to be broken medley' with a bit of 'blue suede shoes' thrown in for good measure.new years eve ad
