BEST PROM SINCE CARRIE'S

Whether or not their prom dates are dreamy or nightmarish, high

school students at Central and Red River High Schools in Grand

Forks, North Dakota (the state Fargo calls home) are going to

have the memories to last a lifetime when the party band kicks in.

Rather than get subjected to DJs spinning the "Macarena" or

some living jukebox combo moonlighting from the local Holiday Inn,

these lucky kids are gonna rock the night away with the MinneApple's

own Soul Asylum, who volunteered to provide the June 28 party at the

Grand Forks Air Force Base hangar after the original prom site went down in the floodwaters of springtime.
