Soul Asylum

May 5, 1995
Paridiso, Amsterdam, Hollands

Well yes, here's your dutch soul asylum fan again, since I've just read
the gig-reviews, I wanted to add one to them. I've been to several, but
only remember the last one (2.nd of may, 1995) well enough to write about
it.

It was the first show they did on let your dim light shine, in Amsterdam.
The show wasn't promoted very well and paradiso was only half full. But
this wasn't the biggest problem, the real problem was they played about
everything from let your dim light shine, that wasn't even out yet. So
the public didn't know the songs, counting this, the respons was well,
but I had expected and hoped for some more old work than only somebody
to shove and black gold (call that old work??). Being glad they at least
didn't play runaway train, I enjoyed my 90 minutes of soul asylum, though
less than the other shows I had went to before.

This show gave a good impression on the album that still was to come, and
really was less than I had hoped for, though still great!!

Well I should sign of wishing all you Soul Asylum fans the very best and
hoping I will once be able to get time's incenarator.

Jaap Kamminga

thanks to Al and Jaap!
